DESCRIPTION:What is a Tri Cycle Farms Garden Tender? Garden Tenders are regular volunteers who sign up to take care of a specific garden plot each week throughout the spring\, summer and fall. These volunteers are expected to show up on a weekly basis to tend to their garden plot. DESCRIPTION:Calling all Tri Cyclists! One of our partner organizations recently donated a large number of items to the farm and we need help getting everything sorted and organized. Our Rock House garage is currently packed full of boxes and shelving units that need to be moved and set up in our upstairs office space and garage. For this year's day of service\, volunteers will be honoring Dr. King’s legacy by helping Tri Cycle get the property prepped for this coming growing season from noon until 3pm. Afterward\, we’ll all come together for a community meal in Trinity’s Fellowship Hall. \nWe’d love to share the day with you! If you have not been to the farm before\, or haven't visited us for a while\, this open house is your opportunity to get caught up on what we've been working on this winter! Snacks and refreshments will be provided in the Rock House\, as well as information about our Hydro House and other up-coming projects. At 10:00 a.m.\, Don Bennett\, our founder and director\, will take guests on a guided tour of the farm. The tour will "end in the gift shop" where we will have Tri Cycle Farms merchandise for sale. Come celebrate Tri Cycle Farms' effort to spearhead all food recovery activities at the festival with music by The Wild Rivers & Adam Cox\, family fun and kids programming\, live art\, craft bar\, ice cream social and a chef prepared meal. \nCost of admission is $20.
